Hosting a Super Bowl party may be a little challenging if you, or some of your guests are gluten-free! Thankfully, I have been navigating the Gluten-Free world long enough to know one or two Gluten-Free Super Bowl Appetizers!
I am not a football fan, but I do like the commercials, the half-time and…. the Gluten-Free Super Bowl Appetizers!
Gluten-Free Wings that is!
I mean, the selection of Gluten-Free Super Bowl Appetizers without WINGS??? No, it’s against my religion! 🙂
Over the years, I’ve learned NOT to buy the deli style, ready- to-go wing platters. The wing batter is ALWAYS made with flour!
I’ve learned to make WINGS myself. NAKED. No batter required. Just seasoning.
No, I do NOT trust the Wing Seasoning packets by McCormick or whoever else. Even if they don’t contain wheat, there are so many other ingredients, ingredients that I can’t even pronounce, therefore why would I ever want to ingest them?!
I choose Dry Rub Wings. Dry Rub that I can easily make on my own, out of the spices I already have in my spice cabinet.
I tend to go wild with my imagination and whip up my own spice blend on the spot, but if you need a good Dry Rub Wing recipe, this one, by GeniusKitchen. com is really good!
Pizza is among Gluten-Free Super Bowl Appetizers that I simply don’t see Super Bowl without!
Do yourself a favor and buy FROZEN gluten-free cheese pizza!
That frozen cheese pizza is really not bad! And, you can easily transform it to a gourmet pizza by sprucing it up with your favorite toppings!
My favorite gluten-free pizza is FRESCHETTA.
Costco used to carry it, but now it’s been replaced with Sabatasso’s. Supposedly it’s the same pizza, but with a different name. I don’t know.
There are countless different variations of Guacamole and recipes you can easily get overwhelmed by. This Guac is made BABALU style! Easy and delicious!
4/Buffalo Chicken Dip
It’s a classic! Simply a MUST at any party, but especially Super Bowl Party!
I have 2 recipes I like:
Buffalo Chicken Dip by Trisha Yearwood – this one is with Blue Cheese and as much as I love it, my kids hate it. Because of the Blue Cheese!
The other Buffalo Chicken Dip is very simple and I usually make it in a Crock Pot
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
- 1 cup cooked chicken breast; shredded
- ½ cup Buffalo wing sauce
- ½ cup Ranch salad dressing
- 2 cups shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
All you need to do is brown 1 lb of bulk style pork sausage on a skillet and then drain it.
In the meantime, in a Crock Pot, combine:
- 1 package (8oz) cream cheese
- 1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes with Chilies
- 1 cup Mexican style cheese, shredded
Mix in the drained sausage and that’s it!
My favorite 4-cheese BAKED SPINACH & ARTICHOKE DIP is to die for! Everybody loves it!
7/Bacon Wrapped Things
Simply wrap whatever you like in thin-cut bacon and bake until nice and crispy!
I like to wrap pieces of avocado, dates, prunes, Brussels Sprouts, asparagus and cheese.
Although I am not an expert at making Baba Ganoush, I’ve done my work and arrived with a conclusion: Baba Ganoush is crazy easy to make, it’s delicious and it’s good for you!
I know, fried is not healthy. However, I do read labels, and I do know there is noting good or healthy in those store-bought nuggets our kids love so much. Yes, my Pork Nuggets are not the best choice, but at least they are not packed with ingredients I can’t pronounce… And, it’s Super Bowl! 🙂
Cauliflower Cheese Sticks are definitely a keeper in my gluten-free book! Cheap, easy to make and delicious! Low carb too!
It’s like regular salsa, but with attitude! 🙂
Basically, you can’t stop reaching for yet another chip and scoop some of that addictive Cowboy Caviar!
You don’t have to be at anybody’s mercy to get some good queso!!! I am not kidding. As a matter of fact it is very, very easy to make your own QUESO! No fancy Mexican cheese required! White American Cheese will do!
Have a delicious Super Bowl party with some of the above Gluten-Free Super Bowl Appetizers!
And, as Always, Eat Well, Spend Wisely!
